I was demo spec for 2 years, thought id change things up. This is a 41/7/11 build, and its pretty hot. The shadow trance (instant cast shadowbolt) pops A LOT, so i suggest u get a mod that gives you a heads up when it does (i use necrosis). With this, you get FIVE dots, and with using things like shadowbolts and drain life, i max out on my dps around 750 dps! (thats in greens and blues)! Unstable affliction is great because stupid healers always despell it, and watching them take a lot of damage is lol. Just make sure that u have A LOT of +shadow damage. Nothing else matters. Also, instant cast howl of terror, owns in any battleground. This is builds only issue is in PvE with the high dps, it can cause massive agro, so be careful unless u have a godly tank. After specing to this, i saw my place in the damage meters go from one of the farther back as a CCer, to one of the top dpsers, competing with DPS heavy fire mages. A really good and fun spec, should try it out

is my spec... with lots of +crit and +dmg I'm doing 2k (about) base hits and 3.5-4k (about) crits, and I have 20% chance to crit from gear so... I crit a lot...

and if I'm in a raid, and a mage has imp. scorch, it goes up even more!


this is the Curse of Elements,Sacrifice your imp. for the fire dmg, Spam Immolate, incinerate, conflag spec. and I out dps everyone on the meters, almost always #1 in AV

Strong points:
-Impreved debuffs (imp corruption, imp coa, empowered corrumptio)
-Relatively low threat and high range (imp drain soul, grim reach, destructive reach)
-Improved life drain
-Good burst DPS with shadowburn & conflagrate
-Countless instant shadowbolts (nightfall, and backlash)
^ this is the best thing about this spec, in pvp you get a warrior, rogue, or even better a hunters pet on you and backlash procs. In pve your nightfall (don't forget it only procs off corruption or lifedrain ticks) procs, BAM insta 2k SB, BAM you aggro, BAM backlash procs..... what do you do now? keep shadowbolting ofcourse...

Cons:
-No Demonic Embrace so less survivability than other specs with lot sof points into the demonology tree

overall i've tried many different specs and this is by far my favorite!

This thread reminds me of my demonology days, before I went Afflic/Dest, and I am now considering a major respec :P

Argh, so many choices, and I'm terrible at making decisions ;-;

@ Fault:
The only fault (Pun SERIOUSLY not intended >_>; ) I can seem to find with your spec is the lack of CoEx, which I love due to it's ability for kiting non-bosses awesomely xD
