Most of us know that accounts, posts etc take up space in MMOwned's Database right? and we know that alot of people do absolutely nothing to contribute, and even put effort into causing decay to MMOwned. Because of this I have come up with a system (although it may need tweaking) to help clean up MMOwned's database, get rid of Highly unwanted members, and speed up the site while making it more productive. Other suggestions to speed up the site within reason will be added to OP, and/or changes to my ideas
So here it is:
1: Members who are classified as "Active Member" "Contributor" "Donator" "elite" and up will have access to a feature in threads, described below.
a: Posts by leachers, people with 0 rep power, or 1 rep power will have a buttong that active members+up can see.
This button will also require the user to have 15+ more reputation than the poster who has the button on his post.
The button will serve a function as follows.
If 150+ members press this button, the member who has the button on his post will have his post deleted the first time (saving effort from Mods).
The second time 150+ members press it, the User's account will be deleted, his IP will be banned, and all his posts will be permanently deleted from the database. This will clear up database space.

The second Tier to this plan is possibly Bar common proxies form viewing MMOwned by a method other than Midget Porn. Because although this is effective against someone who has adults near him very often. an adult/teen who is determined to use a proxy to view MMOwned would not care, AND this can be over-ridden by blocking images from the address of the images.(found by right clicking them+copy link)

Except for stickies, Site records etc, which could be marked with an exception tag, Threads older than two years should be Deleted, as they are almost all outdated information within the "World of Warcraft" and "WoW Emulator Server" Sections of the website. This would clear up space in the Database and make searches return more accurate results.
I will add more later, but ATM gtg take out trash+recyclables.

I think you should probly go on there start date, and how many threads/post they have made. To make it a little more accurate on who really is leeching. |

Tracking a users negative button clicks, much less negative button clicks per post, will take many, many, many, many, many more server resources than leaving the leechers alone.
You're being ******* elitists. Half of you have contributed dog shit garbage to MMOwned but still go on ranting in threads like these. You need to shut the **** up and get back in line, because you're way, way out.
If you knew shit about anything you'd realize Matt could and probably does delete user accounts that haven't been active within X number of days. Not to mention the already slow page load times attributed to the feature laden vBulletin running on these now two servers. Add more features and guess what? Longer page loads and more timed out requests.
Also... I wouldn't put any of your guys' shit code into a forum of mine unless you know wtf you're doing... unless you're like Marlo or somebody else who's proven to be knowledgeable. And from the looks of it the lot of you don't know wtf you're doing.

| This is a good post, very nice put together and well thought of. - We have been talking about the button idea before, but then we saw an awfull feature with some of the contribs+ where they would all -rep the same person because they arranged it in shoutbox. hence we agreed that MMOwned wasnt ready for such a button.
- Might be an idea, but then how can we see midget porn so easily.... /loads up proxy
- We can remove stickies, but we wont remove the posts itself, nor will we remove leechers from the database.. google rating doesnt like when they link to a post and then we have deleted it.
Just for the guy saying "matt must make a ton of ads" well we dont nearly make enough to keep the site running, you can ask Herog and Ket about this...
we will keep this suggestion in mind when we have our next meeting.
