| Do the Adds go away for 'registered' members? I am a little confused as to what a registered member is, i feel there are a few levels of memberhood? Well, I am going to addblock all the adds anyways, but I thought it would be a good suggestion. I think i have seen on other sites where registered members could chose to turn off adds or the adds turned off once you logged in, but I couldn't tell you where that was. ~Leoj ![]()

| Re: The Advertisements Why do people get pissy about the Ads? they fund MMOwned therefore keep it running. And no they do not go away no matter how high your membership. |

| Re: The Advertisements Im sure if you asked anyone that has been here for more than ten posts they would tell you they have trained themselves to look over the adds. Maybe take a poll asking 'when was the last time you clicked a google add.' I have clicked an add here or there because I know it generates money, but it does look terrible.

| Re: The Advertisements The ads do fund MMOwned.. I would only turn ads off to donators if and when I implement a system so people can donate money to the site. MMOwned is 100% free.. I never asked money from anyone.. I even turn donators down all the time. So how can you complain about free forums with a few ads here and there.. Their not even google ads.. their AdBrite.

| Re: The Advertisements Like you said Leoj once you start posting a bit they basically become 2nd nature, And you would never notice them, When I first came here I did find ads annoying but didn't bother me much, But when I started posting a bit, They seemed to dissapere (So to speak :P)

| Re: The Advertisements May I suggest putting an add either on the bottom or the top but not both? I have read many places debating whether you should have like 5 add boxes on your site or just one. Almost everyone with a brain agrees that one add looks way better and generates just as much attention. I am not referring to the IGE add at the top, just the adds that separate the users post from the users signature. ~$0.02 P.S: May I ask how much money, per month, ads generate for the site? Are you doing them on an on-click basis or every X views?
