Okay, so I like this site and all, but one thing that kills me is that anyone can come in here and see everything. So lots of guide sites steal stuff from here and post it on their own sites.

There's also some cool stuff i'd like to reveal but not to everyone's eyes. Just to the frequent members so I know my guide/whatever isn't going to get stolen and put on some random site, or someone claim my guide for themselves.

So this is just me urging you to make a zone for frequent, faithful members (50+, 25rep+ whatever) where we can post our "elite" findings or whatnot.

i dont think the +50rep idea is a good one to be honest. For a couple of reasons, the biggest reason being it would encourage people doing all they can to farm +rep...therefore not using the 'search' facility and just copy-pasting from every site under the sun.

I think an 'elite' part of the forum would be good....and possibly the only way of knowing about it would be if you were hand selected by admins/the powers that be...

infact, there may be such a forum...we just dont know about it.

When making a thread check the "Hide Post To Unregistered Users" button, and it hides it for everyone under 10 posts, I beleive.

I agree with you. It seems sort of silly to allow just about any body to come in and get whatever, sometimes without registration. The people who run the site have made it very clear that it is a public forum and they don't want to turn into what Nogg was, which was a forum that withheld information and divided it's users.

I can't say I really like that philosophy, but it's one that will probably stick.

The point of these forums are to make the information we learn and use readily free to the public. If you feel that only certain members should see your info, as Idusy stated, check the "Hide Post To Unregistered Users" button.

I like the sound of this idea, Though Im not one of those ppl who have 100+ rep, I'd like to see myself as good member of the MMOwned Community, And when I do post stuff, and I think alot of people feel that they do not want there work and time putting up a guide or whatever jus to be shown to some Blizz employee.

Though I know this will not stop Blizz seeing the posts (Sneaky bastards :P)But it will prevent it somewhat, And also prevent a serious amount of being used on other sites that take credit for the finds and guides

With the whole frequent memebers section for people with + a certain amount of rep, we have that. Its called contributor section :-)
