I'm fairly new to this site, and if posts were made invisible to Lazy Leechers that'd make it even harder for people like me. As it is at the minute, I want to contribute, but I can't search to see if something I want to post is a repost or not. Hiding threads as well would make it damn near impossible for us to find out if something was a repost, which would lead to either a) people reposting the same things en mass, and constantly getting flamed for not knowing it was a repost, which would lead to them getting no +rep, and thus never being anything but a leecher, or b) people not posting new exploits because they're thinking 'nah, this'll already have been posted and I'll just be flamed out for reposting', and also not getting +rep, and staying as leechers forever too. Either way you would end up with a site full of leechers who can't advance themselves by any means other than donating, and no doubt the current high repped members would complain that nobody was posting new things.

Sorry if this comes off as a bit of a rant, but the lack of a search function is real frustrating at times, I'd rather not be limited further.

Yeah, give newbies a chance. New people to the sites aren't always leechers, make it for 30 days until, if they've gotten no rep and or posted, there a lazy leecher.

Partially, that's right.

But the system should be vice versa.

Guests shouldn't be able to use search (like it is now, good), see forums, that include contributed material (should be) and so on..

And when they try to register, they get the same stuff until 30 days (or some other time limit) has gone for the account. That way the system would work a lot better, atleast in my opinion.

I feel if we want to keep something to the contribs, donators and the like we have a section for that already. What's the point in teasing the leechers? It only makes them post whores...

Some problems I have with this:

1- PM limitations: Theres no reason that simply since you havnt received a lot of rep that you cant have more than 5 PMs. its not your fault that you dont get +rep for your contributions, its those who take what you offer and leave without doing anything.

2- Search Limits: When contributing... isnt it always wise to be sure that something hasnt been posted already? To Avoid flames / People not giving you rep (since its a repost)

3- Since obviously.... MAJORITY of the members of MMOwned are "Lazy Leechers" now... it only makes it HARDER to get +rep since a lot of people cant +rep you.

4- Signature: WTF????

..everyone has PM limitations heck i have 65 elites i think have 150 and so on....lazy-leechers don't deserve more then 5...once u start to contribute you'll get more just tell people don't PM you for request and the system is buggy and just contribute to the site a little bit and you'll get out in no time
