topic title says it... a scripts/fixes section where people can post their private fixes and others can test them.... this would be nice

I don't see a reason for adding such a section. You already have the programs section , the guides section and the discussion section.

MMOwned used to have a server. It sadly never got out of beta.
It was hosted by WoWLegend.

But if you think about it mmowned is reaching 100,000 members.

Roughly 1/3 Go on private servers so 33,000

There are hacks that can get through those kind of blockers.

It was revived about a week ago by froogle and had alot of people on.

Then it died.

Think about it really though, a hacking website hoasting a Private Server. It was a hope that never made it through

MMOwned should really make a private server.. I mean with all the people with Uber private server skills MMOwned could make a very very good private server.

speedhack you can stop easely by putting max speeds on for mounted/unmounted etc...
flyhack also verry easy to detect
telehack = kick + location reset (so simply not working )
mountainclimbing hack is harder but possible to make something against it i think.
other hacks like: GM command hacks etc dont work anyway lol

well you can make hard rules for a blizzlike (non-hacking) server... for example: hacking = server + forum ban ! permanent !
hard yes but if you announced that players are not allowed to hack on the server then they should not do it
on our server when speedhack, flyhack etc is detected = Disconnect
our admin is daaaaam smart :P he is a ascent dev (aceindy) and he writes all kind of crazy shit (programs, scripts, patches, corefixes etc etc)

well there are a lot of things you can do against hacking

Well i think i can say this also: of the 33000 forummembers going on servers you can say 20000 and maybe more are biggest noobs ever who think they can hack on every server... other people are wise You would probably agree if i say half of the community are noobs who are only interested in hacking/cheating and only registered here to download them... its a shame if you ask me, but it is a fact also :-/

We have a small community that is growing now but well i would like to test the server with 200 and more pepole online and see if any hacks
what do you think about hard rules? hacking = forum ban + server ban?

how much of those uber private server skilled people actually know C++, SQL, python or wathever you think?
i know hell lot about private servers... but i am only a beginner with C++ for example...

well if there are people on the MMowned team who really wnt to be part of a Developing community you can ask me and i will talk to aceindy... if you have a bit luck you could work together with one of the best ascent Devs
