About giving reputation.

Hello dear community.

I want to bring [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] thread back.
I don't see a real reason why it actually got closed, yes, Flying Piggy posted that if you're giving 0 rep (As a 0rep-power user) your giving the maximum amount of rep you can give, it's true.
But, also , it's annoying to read how people say "...+rep..." and give 0 rep, mostly because they are not able to give more than 0 rep.

Here comes my suggestion.

Why not remove the the "+0rep" and instead of it, disable the +rep button for people without the needed post count, to usually get 1-rep power.

So people without 5 (or 10 ?) posts aren't even able to give rep.

That's my suggestion, let me know if you like it/dislike it.

Note that some people could already be an elite user or a contributor if people wouldn't give 0rep. *cough* .

It defaults to 0 rep, I just tried it. I have to actively select 1 from the list. Remove 0. Please.

I like the idea because the whole 0 rep shit by accident is annoying. If not removing it make the default your max rep so they don't accidentally give 0.

Yeah it's only rep but the reason why many of us don't like the whole +0 rep deal is because some of us, including me, are trying to contributor status & get into the contributor forums. That's pretty much why the +0 rep can get a little frustrating

No, you can give +rep with 0 posts, but after you reach 5 posts you gain 1rep power and so you're able to give +1rep.

Before you've reached 5 posts you were only able to give 0 rep, which actually doesn't change anything,but the mood the person who received the 0rep.
