Another one of these threads.......u may get 0rep but think about this closely some people give you 5rep or 10rep i mean seriously did you really get repped by 80 different people to get to your contrib? no....so be lucky you even get rep in the first place stop with these useless threads once you hit contrib thats all you really need anyway

I read mmowned all the time, but that doesn't mean I post on every thread or even every day or at all. I thought the whole idea behind giving rep (whether its +1 or not) is to let that person know that you appreciate their contribution to the website. "Nice find, +rep to you even though I may have none to give." Just because you're getting 0 rep from people doesn't mean you should act ungrateful towards them. You should be proud that people are recognizing your post as something worth while. And I'm sorry, but complaining about not getting rep seems very selfish

I'm supporting this thread, I think the 0 rep thing is stupid because people THINK they are giving rep, but really they are not.

Another suggestion : You get 1 Rep power for every 10 rep u get instead of post counts, (and the max limit of 10 rep power), that way people dont need to spam posts just to be a more known user

I don't support the idea.
As I see the rep-power as something like a power you have, to show how much is somebody's work appreciated, it wouldn't be fair that I (With my 110 rep) have the same rep-power as e.g. Alk who has got 859 reputation.

Actually it's not about the reppower for people with atleast 200 posts or >20 rep. I believe that they have enough brain to know how to give rep.
It's more about the people which just started.

yah just cause you have 20rep it may seem like a good idea but trust me are rep power system is distributed fine deal with it(and if we did do that KuRIoS would have idk maybe around 95rep power now would that be fair?)
