This is just a suggestion which will most probably be denied, but im going to put it out there anyway.
To decrease the Amount of Leeching by a little bit, and to increase the amount of Contributing to MMOwned, New members should have at least X Amount of Rep or to beable to view Links.
Edit: Another variation of this idea could be, New members get a Limit, X amounts of Links they can view/click before they get blocked until they reach X amount of Rep.
I've considered the Pros and Cons of this and here they are.
Pros:
Reduces the amount of Leeching done by a bit.
Increases the Amount of Contributing into MMOwned.
Cons:
Could lead to Leechers posting reposts or useless threads to attempt to get their rep up.

When they need now 5 rep or need to wait e.g. a week to get anything from the site they'll be like "go **** yourselves, i don't get anything" and go to another site.

Now i'm just a lazy mofo.

Besides, theres no know hack/plugin to hide links for a certain usergroup.
Sure, KuR or whoever likes to develope stuff could edit a plugin. But i dont think that would happen. |

Reputation: 34 | | | One issue with this is that if you look on MMOwned now it is much harder to contribute anything new. Yes, You can help people in all the help sections but if you actually post something the chances are that it will have been posted before. Also, I don't see too much leeching.

Leecher's just like anyone else on this site bring traffic, ad clicks, and overall increase the website's face value and gross profits.
Sad Fact #3:
Sad Fact #s 1&2 go hand in hand, leechers however disliked are a necessary evil to keep MMOwned operating.

If anything rep should be less glamorized, so the people that want to contribute will still contribute, and those who just C&P shit won't have as strong of a reason to.
