Hello MMOwned, I am here to post MY opinion and my ideas about reposts.
For one, everybody is tired of reposts. I am fed up, the community is fed up of reading them, and above all, IM tired of those leechers reposting MY thread and getting REP FOR IT.
My idea to prevent reposts is simple.
I say we have some sort of "post copyright" on this forum to prevent reposts, because seriously it happens every day.
We should have those that are actually contributing to MMOwned have some sort of icon for their post that makes a moderator make it "copyrighted" which means that IF A MEMBER reposts their post, they will be punished via a temporary, or permanent ban.
Reposting with or without credit is annoying, but reposts without credit is plagiarism, which IS illegal.
Now who's going to want to monitor EVERY SINGLE post that has a copyright icon next to it?
I will be more than happy to or we can get a moderator to I really dont care, I just want a solution to the reposts.
I check the site every single day for new posts. (I am not asking for any special privelages, just the privelage to "copyright" certain posts.)
Also, what if somebody reposts a post and asks for it to be copyrighted?
Well, seeing as somebody will personally be checking the copyrighted posts, this will not happen. IF however somebody decides to repost a copyrighted post and demands for a copyright, their post shall be deleted and they will be punished.
I am not trying to be a dick, nor am I trying to flame or degrade anybody on this forum, I am simply giving my opinion, and my ideas and solutions to the problem I am complaining about.
That being said, I am more than happy to receive any comments/suggestions/flames to this post.
Please look into this suggestion, and thanks for reading this.

We don't have the manpower to be doing shit like this. We ask the community to help police the forums, and we also do our best to keep them clean.
If you can't deal with the inevitable repost... I fear you have deeper issues to fix. |
