Reputation: 34 | |  Making use of the MMOwned Calendar!
Hey guys, As many of you will or more likely wont have seen MMOwned has a Calendar page, However, All this page is used for is showing members birthdays and in all honesty theres that many memebrs that its just a table of usernames, So, I propose that we have a select few users actually post major MMOwned and WoW updates! This would be great as people wouldn't have to keep checking 2-3 threads and websites to get a nice review of what major things are happening in the month. Also, Thisgs that happen that need to be remembered can be put on it for example when a user reaches Ledgendary status or when the site hits a certain number of members! As I posted this thread I would also like to say ill be wiling to help with the calendar updates :P Please discuss ( Excuse spelling ) EDIT: I would propose getting rid of the birthdays in the calendar all together! New Idea: So, It seems like people belive that nobody will use this so I propose there is a weeky overview on the hompage, Also, It should go into the News section and maybe announcments thingy! Also, A new usergroup would be cool! Birthdays should be shown in a seperate box underneath with a list of todays birthdays :P THANKS TO ALL THE MEMBERS WHO POSTED BELOW FOR GIVING ME THE INSIRATION TO THINK UP THESE NEW IDEAS

Reputation: 34 | | | Patch dates, Tournament start and end dates, Blizzcon dates, Release dates, MMOwned dates like server upgrades. Even game release dates if they are antisipated.

I think that feature should be kept, it's nice knowing who just grew older and supposedly wiser. I do, however, agree with the idea of using the calendar more, but people don't tend to look at it. Perhaps if there was something to let you see the calendar had new info? |

In all fairness theres 500,000 accounts and most of them arn't used so the birthdays is useless! Maybe the birthdays of people of 10 rep or above...Even then it would be a birthday spam page. I think it should be for actually important things xP Not to say birthdays arn't important!

I really like that idea, but how about tweaking it to show the next 10 events, but only showing the staff's birthdays or something (cause we all like to spam their pm boxes with happy birthday messages ). |

On-Topic: Yes, we defiantly need to use this more. I love planning and would love to have this calendar to help know when WoW and MMOwned related events and contests are happening.
