The thread info for the Scamming section says, "We do not condone scamming, this section is meant for people to read about scamming so they can prevent being scammed themselves."
Now honestly ask yourself, is the above statement actually happening?
You will RARELY find a genuine post that prevents people from being scammed. Most of the posts in the Scamming section are for scamming, they are for stealing people's items that they paid for. Many people's objective everyday, is to steal WoW accounts, gold, money, etc, and that morally isn't right. I KNOW for a fact(!), that no one here likes getting scammed. Imagine how the other side of WoW feels when they get scammed.
Also scamming can incur legal penalties. Many of the topics in the scamming section are teaching people how to steal money and virtual items, which in most countries, is illegal. Imagine that (Hypothetically) and person steals thousands of dollars via paypal, and is caught. When asked where they learned how to do this, what do you think they will say? (Hypothetically)
Another reason I have for closing the scamming section is that many people who are not part of our community only know MMOwned for the scams we create. People only think of us as the scammers. I seriously doubt that anyone here has ever heard of MMOwned being called the Exploration community, or the Community for Programming.
Scamming tarnishes the great vibe at MMOwned, and I for one want it ended!
