I think this is a good idea, it will grow into spam, either make a section for it or add infractions, same thing as what they did with B-Days. Thought the shared lounge is for everything.

You have seen two of these types of threads and your making a suggestion to make it against the rules?

I personally don't like threads that people make to promote themselves, or draw attention to themselves on purpose. Like, "Its my birthday!" or just random attention whore crap. I give people shit when they do it, but its all jokes.

When people make those types of threads they are 90% of the time trying to draw attention to themselves, just ignore them.

If someone is excess about it, or the main page in the shared lounge has 5+ threads of the sort, then bring it up to someone.

Most of the time people welcome new comer's in the shout bawx anyways. If they are going beyond that then they just want attention.

Maybe a thread should be made in the General Section titled : "Donator's of month X", so those who donated in that Month can be named, and given credit/thanked. Who knows.
