I would like to see perhaps an option, say like a BBCode tag that makes a code box that contains a link that is protected from users without a certain rep/post amount.

perhaps even specify how much rep, like:

[LEECH="15"] www.linkhere.com [/LEECH]

Which will make it so that people without 15 rep cannot view, maybe automatically make it so that it requires double posts than it requires rep. So if it is "15" rep, then it also requires 30 posts to view.

Well, if you find or make a code that does that. I'm sure the mods will think about it.

Also, I like the idea. It would solve a lot of problems that people have with making public releases.

Well, one could release the content publicly, but only require a small amount of rep (10-20 etc) so that the people getting said content have at least been a bit active on the site with contributing, but not yet to contributor status/donator, etc.

Would nearly be easier to make a section for each 10-15 rep, but that would fill up the forum.

I actually like this idea.
There are a crapload of leechers that take the work/accounts without giving thanks.
Think this is a good idea because you can still release it to the public but choose a certain rep count.

got something good to post post it in the shared/donator/contrib/elite section. Leecher or not everyone has the same right to things. Also say this came into effect most peopel would do this then the new members would just not come and the amount of active users would decrease thus losing mmowned traffic and revenue. (lol?)

But what about active members who don't want leechers getting stuff? Those at 50 rep etc? They can't post in shared/contrib/whatever, and might not have $15 to spare. This would be leetsauce for them.

In my forums (not mine but my main forum which I visit) we have thanks version of this, but slightly different:
Whenever you [Hide] [/Hide] post between will only be shown after you have thanked or in this case +repped for it.

But that wast point in this threat..
