Lua Programming - 06-15-2008
Dispite what people think of Lua, its a a great, lightweight language that is very useful. I'm working on an addon and would love to teach people how to script via a section like this. (Add to Misc Programming)

Yeah, this is, imo a good idea, because its perhaps the programming language
that is the most used on these forums, considering emulation (And addons..?)

It would most likely boost the programming section a bit.

Yeah, I've always wondered why there's an empty ASP.NET forum yet not a Lua forum on a WoW-themed site. There are a number of talented addon authors here that could benefit from some collaboration.

On another subject, who in their right mind has anything against Lua? I've never seen an argument against it...

Are you kidding me. Its used in almost ALL MMORPGs. Its used as a language to script addons, which I would love to teach people how to do.

Yeah. LUA is perhaps one of the few programming languages which BELONG to this site...
I mean, we are a WoW forum, not a game creating forum, we don't really need C sharp/++,
but LUA is something that we do, both for addons and wow emulation.

LUA is a very powerful language.. and getting more people learning it can expand the ideas of others.

You do know you can run programs from inside showing that WoWprocess opened the addon right?

I agree with this since I am fluent in LUA.
