So i just recently joined the site and in the past few days that i've been browsing all i'm seeing everywhere is "nice nice, +rep'ing you" and "if you thought this was good just +rep me" blah blah blah. I'm also seeing a lot of "Wow this guy is just a reposting rep leecher please delete post ZOMGZ"

If rep is so important to everybody and leechers are really so terrible then why not just add some kind of minus rep button for reposts and the retards out there who can't seem to figure out what thread goes in what forum?

I'm not entirely sure how the whole rep thing works but it appears to add rep to the poster immediately, even though it asks you to provide a reason for repping? So if the mods aren't even looking to see why people are being rep'd then it's clear the minus-rep would have to have some restrictions, such as not occuring unless a certain threshhold of 'minus-rep' is passed?

Minus rep is a power that members of the site should not hold, people would abuse it.

Elite users have a button like that........
They have it though because they are trusted and that they have contributed.
They only -rep when they think its right.
Not for reposts.

-rep would be bad. A lot of people would abuse it, and sometimes for reposts, some people don't know if its a repost or not, its not like they copy-paste all of the same info as the other post...

I know it would be abused i was just suggesting that maybe past a certain number of -rep a person gets for a post from each individual IP address then it actually goes into effect, such as reporting somebody for being AFK in a battleground.

I heard that the Contributors would gang up in the Shoutbawx(don't ask) and choose who to -rep... sad. Abusers = Fail. But yes, this would get abused. Majorly.
