This is just a pointless nerf from Blizzard. I dont understand why they bother nerfing model editing which seems harmless comepared to the things they continue to ignore as if nothing has happened. Blizzard has once again proven that they have ****ed up priorities.

Hack the executable, everything that was before, is still quite possible. I reccomend you compare the codebase from the 2.0.3 executable with that of 2.0.1 and do a manual rebuild.

Get yourself a hex editor, get yourself educated, and get to work.

Yes, we know this, but it's damn near pointless to hack to model edit. It defeats the purpose of why many of us like to use a campfire to darkportal edit over a mountain climbing hack.

just rebuilding it to a later version wouldnt work. you would have to change a (couple?) offset(s) only so it wouldnt check anything. And then -most likely- it would say it was an invalid patch version. so GL with that. The only way I could think would work now is some type of running memory patch.

yes, they can fully stop us. easily. they could just do what GW does, plop all the files to server-side. why dont they do that? horrible load times. so isntead they sign the files and make sure the thing that signs them is correct. There are most likely ways to still model edit, but I doubt many model editors on this site would be able to do it.

/Sigh of course model editing lives. Nearly to its full extent its just more difficult, to reach that full potential, and I must say most should just relax Im sure someone will release how to shortly, its typical after any nerf someone finds a work around or a new method, sometimes people never learn...

Yes, it works now, but I dont believe its 100% safe, and I'd rather people found out for themselves...

Nah, at least not in my experience (Only bothered going there 2 times) Always been a big white hole in the ground, mind you the first time I went there it was 100% not model edited by me, someone used the MC trick off the zep for me.. mind you this was waaaaaayyyyyy back when.. both times it was the same deal, all white and black. I could post a screenie of about 100 people in that room but all the names would be there and some people might not appreciate that:0

As to elaborate.. Its pretty much self explanitory, everything can be edited the same as always, just via different methods. You should know by now Idusy i'm not one to just spill the beans, nor do I even have a 100% grasp on it yet thus I dont wanna say what I dont know 100%.
