yes the mobs are still there and they are killable. but the chests won't be there unless you hit the gong and kill the bosses.

Yes ofc all mobs are spawned, what this Model edit do is to remove the gate, and only that.

As Spiderpigz say, you need the Model Edit Fix for model edits to work. Since the game will just crash if you dont. You can get it by either donate here on mmowned, become a contributor, or search on google.

Access to Zul'Aman raid instance as one person (without having to walljump).
Otherwise u need 5+ ppl bashing a Gong

get a group of people to do this with you, go and kill the trash, ring the gong, kill the bosses, get bear mount.

The point of this mod is as follows:

If you can get 10 (relatively decent) people to apply this, go in through the gate, and kill all trash leading up to bosses. Don't pull them. Once all the trash is gone, go back to the front, and start the timed event by doing the gong, then kill all 4 bosses in succession, rewarding you with a bear mount after the final boss.

I went on my rogue there as I removed the door , everything was there including the chests and the guys in the cage that open them, when I talk to them they say the usual hurry up etc so basically the system thinks the timer is activated but you still need the boss dead. The bad about it is that there aren't a lot of people that will risk their account getting banned over this.
