Dude its not the end of the world if u cant change the lootfx thing. Just give it some time, people need to figure out a way to edit the signature file without blizz being able to detect it

even though im not experianced, i do like to play with ideas and things...so i was only asking what people knew. Share the info so we're (people trying n00b stuff) arn't wasting their time

It is a checksum that goes through all of the files during start up I believe if there is a way to bypass it or dupe it into reading Un-edited files you could perform all of the old changes. I ma not savvy enough to do something that extensive though. Also you could try going into the patch file MPQ's(in the folder from loading the patch) edit those save them some were else then De-patch 2.0.3 and reload the patch with the edited files replacing the current ones. But that all depends if the checksum goes off of the loaded files or set amounts blizz gave it to check. Alot of games have checksums and people have found ways around them, so if its a checksome I am sure someone could help us out

I once changed my LootFX.m2 to the Moonbeam from that festival, and it looked pretty cool. The only problem was that it caused problems with me clicking on the body when clicking in the air.

the zep is fake. you fall through it. and no, theres no portal lol.

guys, model editing will be nice and hard if you want to do it live. If you try and crack the wow.exe then you will get a nice fat error when you log in saying it cant confirm the WoW version. so, in a glance it looks like this
WoW.exe is signed, it checks the signature file to make sure its signed.
If the signaturefile is signed, it checks to see if the models are signed.
if the models are signed, they can go ahead and load the game.

So, the only way i can personnaly think of doing this would be some very heavy memory editing.

probly all world doodad M2 swaps are nerf, WMO and ADT (Terrain) swaps are nerfed. Character to character is nerfed. blp (texture) swaps aren't nerfed, neither is WBD. Creature M2 swaps aren't

All I can think of. I figure this would be faster then listing every model and saying wether or not it works...
