Hey all

I am reading this forum nearly every day. That is why I remarked that there are a lot of spell and ability changings for almost each class, except mine, the shaman.
So I decided to try my best and edit some spells of this class.

In my opinion, they are great :P

Sadly I ony managed it to change only about 4 spells. The other changes are minor. That concernes for example the casting animation.
I tried to get appropriate screens for every spell.

Here we go:

At first I changed the boring "Lightningshield" to the more attractive "Watershield"

After changing the Lightningshield I thought some more "offensive" spells needed to be changed.

Nevertheless I really do not use it this often, I changed the "Flameshock" to a kind of "Felshock"

Also the Earthshock needed some other effect. So I decided to edit it to something like a "Demonshock"

And last but not least the well known "Lightningbolt". I picked something really special, and it is my unbeaten favourite.
Most of you will know the attack of Shappiron, when he drops kind of a bomb.
So the "Lighningbolt" is now an "Icebolt"
And the impact of course is awesome.

Now let's proceed to the minor changes.

For example the casting animation while casting anything of a lightning based spell, it will look like this!.

And every nature based spell now looks like the opposite of a healthy cast. Now it has become a Felcast.

And the windfury spell is not white anymore. It now has become purple. (Sorry..no screen for that)

I also regret that I haven't changed the "Chainlighning" and the "Frostshock" yet, but I hope I will be able to find the right .m2. But it would be very kind if someone can give me a hint how they are called

For all who are interested now can download the .mpq file [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
And if you don't know how to use this file: Just put it in your WoW Data folder and start the game.
(If the data isn't called patch-5.mpq yet, you have to change it into patch-4.mpq or any other number you like to between 3 and 9)

WOW MAN!! this is fantastic if it works, I just finished DLing and I'm about to install and give it a try, I agree with the lack of interest in shammy spells so THANKS!~!!

you cant get banned for spell editing or model editing can you? kinda dumb question but just double checking >.<

As far as I know it is more or less legal, because it gives you no advantages in the game and you are the only one who can see the canges.

And Blizzard is not able to check if you have got such data in you WoW folder.

I think there was a thread some time ago in this forum where a GM said it is ok to edit models. But I am too lazy to search for it now :P



Edit: And those who really give a try to my changes, please give me some feedback weather it works or if you think the spells are appropriate

I've tried to find the chain lightning M2 myself as well but with no luck, even before when I could actually see the textures in WCS...kinda frustrating really.

So..if anyone by chance knows the name of that M2...would help.

Please don't think of it as a diss but almost everything you said there is incorrect. Warden can check anything on your computer if they see fit becuase you agree to there agreement everytime you patch or install or whatever. And in their EULA or ToS, they clearly state that a Game Master or Administrator may ban any player from their servers for any reason they see fit. Check your math buddy >_<

i cant seem to get it to work, i downloaded it to

C:\programfiles\worldofwarcraft\data

and downloaded it there, it didnt work so i deleted the file that was called <patch> and tryed to replace it with the one that i just downloaded, but that failed also, could anyone help me out please.

deleting Patch was a bad idea.. first off

and u need to ername it like Patch-2 patch-3 patch-4 any of those up to 9


BTW yea it doesnt work... it doesnt effect my charcter AT All
