i tried to use this to accomplish my dream of complete gnomish genocide (did i just say that?), but it leaves such unfortunate scars as gnomish facial hair and (worst of all!) gnomish voices. "my, you're a tall one!" is like nails on a chalkboard.

what you're doing here looks much more thorough, much more complete--no offense to the guy who put together the comprehensive list of conversions--so i'm really hoping that you put together the gnome-to-high elf conversion soon (or that the folks at blizzard cave and make high elves a new alliance player race, though that seems unlikely).

i would love to offer to help, but i'm completely new to modding. i just downloaded WoWME last night and know nothing of coding. still, if there is something i can do to rid azeroth of gnomes, please let me know.

Magnus, the cfg file (when installed correctly) is located in your main WoW folder.
To edit it, just open it with notepad.

Once open just add the full filename to it (including the .mpq) and remember to use a new line for each additional MPQ file you plan to use.

As for this thread, I finally got a replacement CPU. And with that I also plan to make both Dwarf and Gnome into High Elves.
Regarding gender changes, never done one. ever - So I'll have to learn it or if you feel confidant enough, you can edit the downloaded file.

So running it with Chaz's MEF wouldn't work?

His doesn't include a cfg file, but works with all model changes I've done thus far on live.

EDIT: This seems to be the case. I attempted to try the Night Elf to High Elf conversion and I received an error regarding the dbc files - the same error mentioned above for one person who didn't have an MEF.

it doesnt work with 2.4 as soon as i open wowME it'll just give a black screen close wow... please help! i miss my high elf!

The 2.4 issues stems from internal conflicts - I've recreated my original files in an attempt to remedy the issue.

So far it's working, I'll have to remake all other race changes as well.
The bonus will be the inclusion of some 'special' customisations.

Stay tuned as I'll hopefully have the new files ready to go by next week.
