Im looking for people that helps me to work on my WoW Editor "Taliis"

What do Taliis allready able to do ?
- Load / Edit DBC Files
- Load / CREATE / Edit ADT map files
- Move / Add objects and buildings
- Create new map using a greyscale image
- 3D visualization of map Files got started
- Load / Edit world files
- Load / Add files from MPQ archives
- Load / Edit Textures
- Hard render hand (ingame) spawned buildings / objects to adt maps
- and of course FULL support for any operating System (win/mac/linux)

The 'old' dbc editor. Includes auto detecting for colums datatypes


The ADT rendering Engine. Not too excact but very usefull. Need some tweaks ..


a complete new created landscape created from greymap. Normals and texture edit have to be implementated next. Building also spawned by the editor


What do we implement next?
- Start make a usable eclipse plugin out of all tools
- Complete ADT support
- Fix normals calculation
- Add nice texture alpha editor (auto detection)
- Implement "brushes" to move terrain
- Anything you want to add next. Maybe m2 or wmo rendering?

What do I have to know?
- Programming in Java
- Maybe expirience with Eclipse Plugins
- Maybe expirience with 2d/3D coding

The whole Project is promising so far. But it needs more people to work on it.
Goal of the editor is to create a tool that allows to create independent WoW maps for different game settings using the WoW client.

Jo i can .. next step is to finish the editor that let u edit textures like photoshop layers .. Including its 3D preview of course .. But more important are features like auto texture changing.

As i told. I need more coders.

People he isn't saying he is going to release it already (or never), he is searching for a team to develop it so don't post stuff like : WHEN OUT ME WANT HUNGRY BARBARIAN.

To bad I don't know anything off Java ;'( I also think not allot of people know Java so it will be a hard task to do it.

Well .. in case that i EVER will find a team (this is in fact the 4th and last time i ask for ppl) i will release all except the core as open source. Core will stay binary only ..

But in java this doesn't matter since u can developh is as use dll files.
But in fact, all tools, editors, helpers and so on could get released then. I have no problem with doing this at it's time. I just dont want to give out unfinished tools and hear shit like "oooooh its so laaaaame" after allready had months of bloody work into it

So you say the functions are scripted in DLL files so any other scripting language can reach it ? So yes then I will give it a shot.

No its in class files. The "core" classes. Any other java developer can access it. I will also give out documentation then. But it will keep java. Sorry to tell you ^.^
But to unworry you: most of the functions will be accessable using comandline scripts and input files ..
