I think that schlumpf is just trying to say that even if you are very proud of being able to follow a guide there are a ton of us out there who arent happy with forums being flooded with "omg i made this cool weapon by swapping hex-codes / swapping .blps and .m2s."-threads

Sure its fun that you started model editing, its a fun hobby. But dont post every single little thing that you change.

I'm a site n00b but the thing about them not liking every single model edit is just that there's only a very select group of people that would use it.
For example someone edited a green quest reward helm to look like something from Hyjal/BT. The odds of someone else who would use it is just VERY VERY slim.
Flame on, but at least you tried to contribute. Unlike me, cause I can't think of anything to post
