There, read that.. very 1st post of the GM Island thread tell you exactly what to do.

ALL credit for that post goes to Nobodyzero

Idusy, giving them the means to do so is there. I told them coords, what to edit, and this site tells them how to, i have links everywhere of where to get the programs.. all it takes is some effort. If they dont wanna put forth that then imo they dont deserve to be going there. Its not difficult and in all honesty if they dont even attempt to do it themselves their ultimately only cheating themselves. Trust me I am as lazy as the next person even maybe more so.. but not searching and attempting to learn is beyond me.

And furthermore I am continuously updating this post with more and more info on where to learn and how to accomplish this goal. Ive attempted to the best of my ability to show them how to model change rather then how to be lazy. I understand everyone may not have the capability to be as gifted at something as the next person, or to have a hard time understanding these problems placed before us, but yet, we still have to learn from experience, trial and error, and mistakes, both in life as well as this hobby.

They have the means, they are not "wingless birds", they certainly have every oppurtunity placed before them, suppose maybe they now hold the option to reach out and grasp it or not.

very true... Sometimes its better to take the time to learn how to accomplish something rather than just be given the answer because in the end it will benefit you immensely.

Re: Programmer Island - 10-10-2006

This isn't altogether fair for those of us who don't own a Windows-based computer. I refuse to use Windows because everything I need to do can be done on my Mac. Of course, there are things (like this) that won't work on my Mac because people live in their own happy oblivion while saying Macs suck.

I'd very much like it if you could PM me the file at any rate, because if I had the necessary tools to do this myself, I would.

And please don't tell me to go get a "real" computer because you will prove that you are the exact kind of oblivious person I described above, rendering yourself an idiot.

Re: Programmer Island - 10-10-2006

I am doing all of my work on a Mac Powerbook G4. Every edit or guide you see explained by me can be done on a Mac. Yes I will admit it is next to impossible to find reliable programs and requires a hell of a lot more work to make it come out properly (especially if you are just learning) and I do sympathize with you, Just don't assume that it can't be done however.

As for the easiest work around download or get a copy of virtual pc ( If your still running a mac with a powerpc core) or buy get a new intel core'd mac. Its going to be the easiest if your just trying to learn since you can then just do what every other PC user does.

P.S. After extensive use of both Windows Based and Mac based OS's I will say which one i feel is better..

BOTH! in their own light that is, Macs are much more specialized and run a lot better and more reliably for those processes but are limited in programming (At least my coding work on the PowerPc's) Where as windows are as general as it comes.. and everyone can do work on a windows=P

1.THE FILE WILL NOT BE GIVIN TO YOU NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU WANT IT, DO IT YOURSELF OR JUST QQ
2.1/2 of you havent tried **** or read anything on how to do this
3.its not like going to programmers island is the greatest thing on earth(or, azeroth for that matter) all your doing is ****ing with a file and making it look like to you that you are there. no one else will see you there, and there wont be much fun things to do there.

Hes got a point there. If you want to do something groundbreaking that others can see I would sugest editing ZEP cords. You can change them to take you anywhere! The sticky GM island has a walkthrough for them also. Cords for GM island change were posted awhile ago also I suggest you download that and look at what the author did if you decide to do this in order to get a better idea.

Re: Programmer Island - 10-12-2006

Aye, Np. I learned on VP, then found and designed some stuff to work on Mac. Limewire is a good solution too since there are tons of copies there that include the Windows OS which retail you would have to buy seperately.
