People have been getting "final warnings" and "perma-bans" when they havent even had a warning before. People use windowed mode and talk on AIM at the same time, they shouldnt have a problem with that. But they better fix this crap right now, and give all the people's accounts back, this is rediculous, I will not tolerate this any longer. Blizzard has to set this straight soon because after people get their "final warning 72 hour ban" like 2 days later they will get another only cause they are running some stupid program like norton or crap. If they do not change this warden security, they will lose CRAPLOADS of money. They probably tried to and succeeded in doing so to make people buy more accounts by banning their other ones.
But just for people who didnt read the above posts.
DO NOT RISK ANYTHING ATM.
Warden will wtfpwn you and get you banned like me for running AIM, Paint, Whatever you can think of. So if you do want to play, I advise you to not run anything but WoW right now until I/We find out what's up with all this.

If your interface change is one that is placed in the addons folder (and created using LUA), then it is fair game in World of Warcraft.
IF you are editing the client game files (all those mpq files and such) then Blizzard considers that a violation of the ToS and you will be suspended or banned. How are they finding out out that you have modified their game files? Warden is now doing an md5 check (of sorts) on the game files. If the files have been altered in anyway, blizzard gets a report on this and they then start their investigation process.
they have no right to do that, do they? thats invasion of privacy.
I'm partially retired from model editing. I'll still answer questions if I know the answers to them when you send them to me in a PM, but otherwise, I'm done.

It won't be an insta-ban for changing models and depending on the severity of the model changes reported, we may not even bother you. We tend to look at those that have changed their models to see what they are doing in game with that change. Then they make their decision. Or so I am told...

Scarmaker, i was using LiveMcer for about a week on test server and it wasn't till after a week that i got 72 hour ban from new warden so if you went on and didn't get banned a day after you still arn't out of the woods also for anyone that is woried here is some good info
1. don't use any 3rd party bot/program that hasn't been made after 23-9-06
2. process guard is now a failure it wont help you
3. play fairly till people come out with updates for their bots or for new ones
4. find and print a pic of Blizzard.co proceed to urinate and or deficate on the pic if still possible light on fire and yell uncontrollably.
I found this, and added my own
- Don't make campfires on every single inch of terrain.
- Don't go to GM Island because 1500 people are going there daily (proof: our general forums) and you will get banned.
- Don't talk about GM Island and don't ask your guild to /who you if you ever end up there.
- Don't use it as an advantage in PvP.
- Don't change a rock into a giant ass tower to make sure people can see you floating.
- Don't go there if you know people will see you floating.
- Don't model change to get somewhere to save 5 minutes if you know 1500 people will see you.
- Don't be retarded please.
- Also use patch-# not speech2. (# being a number)
"If I and everyone else could contribute to MMOwned like you do it would be a terrific place." Don't PM me with request, only Questions
Still havent been banned, BUT i have noticed, all of you who have said you were banned for like paint and iTunes, etc. have said that you once used a hack, since the last patch or w/e. So that may be why warden is like detecting the trails of the ahck or somethin like that.

They have a right if you agreed to this to look at all programs in processes and in the actual program
model editing is not bannable!!!! sorry for misleading some of you
they can ban for any program run at the same time as WoW so dont use ANY prgram with WoW.
DONT USE ANY PROGRAM WITH PERSONAL INFO IF YOU DONT WANT WARDEN to SCAN IT!!!!
and last but not least dark portal is back.../cry i want MCer back

ok i wasnt able to make this a thread but, here is an email from blizzard about model editing
From: <[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]>
To: <[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]>
Subject: Blizzard Entertainment - World of Warcraft
Date: Sun, 24 Sep 2006 07:28:35 -0700
Greetings Justin,
Thank you for contacting the World of Warcraft Game Master Department.
Petition: I was wondering if i could get banned for editing my ingame models, or if i could get banned for having a speech2.mpq file in my data folder, nothing that edits gameplay, just changes my looks, is this acceptable?
Answer: While this is not a violation of our policies (there are mods that do this, for example), it's something I'd highly recommend against because of the potential to destroy or corrupt needed files.
Should you require further assistance, please submit another help request the next time you are online. We hope you continue to enjoy your experience in World of Warcraft!
For any game play questions, please refer to our site at [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
*** Please do not respond to this email as all conversations on this matter would be best handled online. ***
