Okay, dunno if this is good news, but I tried opening one of the 1-handers from aq-40, and it looked like this:


The program is able to save files into MDX files, which should be the same as M2, correct me if I'm wrong, found the info on:

Also the program complains ablout a missing dll, as far as I can see.
I've downloaded this one, and it doesn't anymore..

It's mdlvis... Hopefully it can save our 3d models as something useful in WoW

No, or think you can change them a little (connecting vertexes *thinks its called that* and so) But use a 3D program first. Try Blender, you can download it free at [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Then save as mdl, 3ds or whatever and use this program to export to mdx

Hi i would like to join too,... i like the idea and everything but there one little prob with me,... i suck a everything like modelediting,...

the point whit that Mdlvs is that it can make MDX and MDL files out of M2 and reverse.. so you can use another converter to make it into some sort of a 3d file so it can be opened in a 3d editor (im trying to make a little improvement on us female gnomes whit this... if posible (it is) i whil change some animates like spell cast, dance or such..) and then converted back into a M2 file get in a patch-#.Mpq shuld be working! (going to test..)

Thats a new version of the Frostmourne I'm making 100% done with Maya.

And BTW, Maya can export this to .ma, .mb, .mov (lol), .* (?), .fbx, .dfx, dae
So I'm going to try and find some plugins or something so i could save it as .OBJ or .MDX or w/e.


@jimmbo506, I'm making a Ice Crown Glacier / Frozen Throne with Maya, so if we get it converted to .M2 somehow, we can use it as the "Dark Portal" in the login screen.
