Hey,!
wow i´m so fascinated from the shapeshift-form-pictures you posted. I have only registered me at mmowned.com because of your models. Such a great work!
After 5 minutes I found this page, I had played with the models Ingame......NICE. No Problems!
But the Tauren-Models are very dark ingame i think, not like in the pictures. Maybe that could be better done........ or the gamma of the models is just too dark on my PC...... i don´t hope so :P
Question:
Is it possible to use the nightelf-models with a tauren character? They look also very nice! And maybe you could tell me witch programs you use to do this perfect work?

Sry 4 my english^^
The dark skins on your screen is most likely due to low in-game gamma setting. I don't think I'll be changing the darkness on the models.
Also, it of course may vary from monitor to monitor, the older ones can be quite dark in my experience, on my screen I think the skins look just fine.
And to answer the Nightelf models for Taurens; read the FAQ.
And to answer what programs I use; Photoshop CS3, drawing tablet (Wacom Intuos3 A4), MyWarcraftStudio, WoWModelViewer, BLP2toTGA and TGAtoBLP2 for the format transfer from .tga to .blp which WoW uses.

Hi there,
I would love to use these new forms, but I'm a bit afraid of being banned.
On the first page, you said the risk is very low... with the new patch 2.3, is it still in your opinion? In another thread, there was one, who was banned because he modelchanged his weapon. But he didn't know, if it was 'cause someone reported him or 'cause of "online detection" or something similar.
What do you think?
Your models are great, Andrige... it would be a pity, not to use them

The way I look at it, the only people who are going to respond with questions you've already answered are the ones who didn't read the original post. The ones who did read the post don't have any questions, and therefore don't need to post. Unfortunate.
I on the other hand appreciate that you were willing to write up such an extensive and comprehensive guide/FAQ to the whole thing.

Myeah, you're right. It's about 92.000 views now... bound to be some guys who just scrolls down to DOWNLOAD and then forgets everything above and below it only to find the reply-button afterwards ^^;
...I bet you just only watched that orange text download now did you, hm?
Gonna ignore random people now unless they have a valid question.
*bump* Just because it's that epic of a post. =P
Looking forward to the new Druid Cat .m2 mentioned in the below quote. Any updated ETA?
P.S...

My knowledge stretched as far as doing reskins and the design, however when it came to new models it was a whole different issue.
The problem was that there was no tool that could convert .m2 (Blizzards modelfiles) and still keep the animations intact from the game-format to a fully customizable format to use in 3ds max or the like.
However, as out of chance I got in contact with someone on MMOwned who said he was creating a guide on how to import custom models with the hope I could perhaps learn one step on how to make my own.
It didn't however involve keeping the same animations as the guide could only go as far as importing your own models but not tweaking existing models, basically.
Then, he contacted me again and he had developed a tool that did exactly what I wanted! With his tool one can tweak the model to a certain extent, making it more detailed is on the to-do list, but I can actually change how the model looks now!
Then I contacted the female game developer who plays a Druid (contacted me a while back), who said if she were able to do something for the forms she'd be glad to, and now I've gone all of this through and I got myself a first improved model on my computer
Since the polygon count can't be increased, it's basically just tweaking of some parts of the body but so far she's made on the Tauren Lion the front claws larger, the stomach thinner, the shoulders broadened and higher, head a bit lower. It's not drastical as it's not really possible to do that much without adding more polygons to stretch out, but it looks better!
It's not me who will do the upcoming changes to the model, so credit to those that have helped me.
Don't know too much about 3ds max and since I've gotten the help of a gaming 3D-designer I think it's wiser to let her use her skills to make this pack's forms great.
Also, I think it's best if I keep their names in secret until I talk some more with them and when we get a satisfactory release. Screenshots could be coming around showing how the model could look like after tweaking, but for now I'm gonna keep them private.

To be brutally honest I can say nothing have happened on that front.
I've done a few tweaks with the catform model, but since I'm horribly bad at it and it makes the model act weird when I do stuff like pulling in its stomach and so on when you run or the like, it's not too easy.
I'd rather have a tool that lets me/us increase the polygon count... I have one possible at [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] but so far it hasn't been released yet.
Also the real 3D-modeller is really busy at the moment, guess its some catching up to do after the holidays.
So, no real ETA whatsoever at the moment.
