First of all, people complaining about how "wrong" it is to model edit to your advantage, let me remind you the nature of this site. Countless scams, exploits, etc. that are (in my opinion) FAR worse than grabbing a small advantage in locating mining/herb nodes. I respect your decision for not posting your own edit but lets just leave it at that.
On that note, I guess I'll post the one I made for myself, it is my first model edit but worked fine for me. Use it if its within your wow model editing "morals". Don't use it if you're gonna bitch at me for posting it. Simple as that.
Also note that I am new to model editing and it took me all of 15 mins to figure out how to do this and make it work, so for all the people who are begging for model swap requests, please just take some time to learn how to do things for yourself.
Put it in your World of Warcraft/Data folder: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
This is the model edit fix I used at the time, if it doesn't work, visit the Model Edit Fix forum and DL the newest version ([Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Put this in your World of Warcraft/ folder and start Wow with it: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
so ive been using it and today when i went out to the ledge it kept crashing on that model it made it easy to know when an egg was around though ;P i'd always crash out, but i had to remove the mpq because i tried everything and it kept crashing. But, it did work last night and was amazing.

If it's crashing like that it could be a problem with your model edit fix file. Make sure you're starting wow with it and you have the most up to date version.
Also, glad to see some people are getting good use of this edit.
I'm pretty sure it's because yesterdays small patch made our current model edit fix not work :\ 2.1.1 was yesterday, thinking about it, it worked fine pre-patch but crashes when i come upon the model post-patch.
I tested the stationary model swaps on mining nodes and the same thing happens. No matter what you change it to, you crash the game when theres a node around. Don't know how to fix it either =/
Edit: I take back what i said, you HAVE to use the latest model fix .exe for the model swaps to work. I changed the mining nodes to Ragnaros, Fel Reaver, etc. Just make sure you use the .exe file though
