I changed my stormrage helmet from orange til black and when i log in it give me a error in the patch-*.mpq i made..

grrr, i am also having a problem.
My current gear is spread across 2 mpqs. Common & patch.mpq.

On my mage i have the frozen shadow weave set, so i have the arcanist shoulder model (in the common.mpq) & the texture file (the new one they made) in the patch.mpq, so this then leaves me in the me with the problem of, where do i put the lightning bolt blps, in the common.mpq or the patch.mpq?

Also, my frozen shadowweave vest is missing sleaves as the model goes, so it means i am wearing a stylish black shirt underneath, where do i find those models to change them to the sleeves of the new one?

god this is giving me a headache.

Tough luck...you'd need to DBC your shadoweave for it to look like a robe and such. And the lightning's treepath is already correct. Also, copying treepath speeds things up.

I tried to make the Evokers Helmet of Second Sight into the nightmare helm, it wont work for me, i used Fault's guides and did it exactly the same way, and it isnt changing for me, any help please?

did you make sure your swtiching the right model names? Treepaths?

Here's a suggestion:
find the evoker helm's model
right click it and select "copy treepath"
get your patch
place the nightmare helm in it and paste the path

That should work.
If not, then I'm thinking that your using the wrong model (maybe the evoker helm has a model different from the Netherwind one?), or maybe the Evoker's model is not possible to switch without hex or dbc.

So if i hex edited the evoker helm to voidheart/gladiators, then i could just change the texture of it and it would work? ill try to get some screenshots of my patch but i did copy the tree paths correctly, used notepad to copy them and then pasted when i was making my patch, i guess ill just try the shoulders and see if that works.

If you WDB'd your helmet to look like voidheart, then you changed the texture of the voidheart helmet, yes that'd work. Or you could switch the model and the texture.

He's correct. If you're going to switch that way, make the Nightmare texture match the Voidheart one.
