High Elves

The high elves, or quel'dorei ("Children of Noble Birth" in Darnassian and "high elves" in Thalassian), are a race descended from the Highborne night elves who left Kalimdor and settled in the Eastern Kingdoms, founding Quel'Thalas.

The high elves were once a significant force on the continent, but in recent times their numbers have been dramatically reduced, 90% of their race having being slaughtered in the Third War. Following this, another 90% of the survivors changed their name to "blood elves" in remembrance of their fallen brethren, and no longer consider themselves high elven. Around 25,000 true high elves remain.


This is the next edition of the High Elf race pack.
The race changes apply to both the Male and Female species of the chosen race.

Each race change will attempt to include (unless otherwise noted);

• Complete race swap
• Customised skins (blue eyes, blue underwear, blue nail polish)
• Helm Fix
• Hoof/feet Fix (for applicable races)
• Sound replacement (Blood Elf copies, some exclusions)

This edit also made changes to a linked file, the BloodElfFemaleEyeGlowGreen BLP, I've recoloured it to blend in with both High Elven blue and Blood Elven green eye colours. With a bit more emphasis on the true race, High Elves
The main issue with these files, is the look of your selected races NPCs, this isn't something easily fixable and to successfully do it would require the reskinning of -a lot- of NPCs (~10,000+ to be rough)

If you find any other issues with any, don't hestitate to point them out.


All of the following race changes will need the respective Model Edit Fix matching your game version.

The current MEF, 2.4.3 - Can be found [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. This edit was made with this MEF specifically and is thus designed around it's use.

For now, 3.0+ is Night Elf exclusive. Other races will be made available in the future. 2.0 mostly works with other races, check the end of this post for more information.

Installation Instuctions

1. Download the appropriate race change file.
2. Place file in the World of Warcraft/Data folder.
3. Make sure you have downloaded a model edit fix for your game version.
4. Follow the installation instructions for the MEFix.
5. Load WoW. Log in.
6. Enjoy.

Customisations are currently unavailable.

Some people out there have been collecting/making changes to convert all Blood Elves back into High Elves.
Who knows, maybe some people enjoy blue moreso then green.

Besides, BE to HE was quick and easy, so I did it early.

i used the mywarcraftstudio or something and it was either too slow or i messed up my patch file -_-

I already uploaded everything you need bar the ModelEditFix - and that's not mine to give to people.

Impossible.

You don't need to use MWCS for it unless you're making customisations, even then I don't recommend doing that until you can get the patch working.

Did you follow the installation instuctions in the OP of this thread?
Did you also follow the instuctions for the MEF given in the readme of that file?
