Extract spellvisual.dbc from our edit, put that in a safe place.
Find a way to load the 2.3 spell.dbc into glitchy's program, then find the spell id of each poison on thottbot.com and change them to '10381'. Then pack the spellvisual.dbc into a mpq and it should work.

Do this the same for German Clients aswell. Load a german spell.dbc into glitchy's program and change the spells.

But make sure you use the 'spellvisual.dbc' from our edit as i've modified one of the spells in it to give us the old poison animation.

I cant get it to work with the new MEfix, I just place the patch in the data folder I made the MPQ extension lower cased, and did the launch/autopatch yet ingame the poisons didnt seem to change.

umm.. the extension must be capitalized .MPQ :P

Start your WoW Launcher once and make sure language is set to english. Afterwards, you can use MEfix to start wow.
(hi cpt. obvious but some may not know)

Uhh... I'm really a "noob" at this stuff. How the hell do I extract it? And which of Glitchy's Programs... he has two...

So I got it to work, if I launch wow through the MEfix only, but its been applied, if I try and run wow without MEfix it crashes.. If I took the patch out nwo, and ran wow normally would it still work? or will I need to continue running it thorugh MEfix everytime to play with the poison changes

I'm doing something wrong, hopefully it's obvious to someone else, but not for me lol. Whenever I try to run MEfix and it just says "WoW.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. If you were in the middle of something, the information you were working on might be lost. Close" I have it in in the CFG .MPQ.
