Hi I've recently been pvping alot in arena (as a resto druid)recently and starting to get decent gear. I'm currently on 1480 + heal, 9.8k hp, and 292 res the moment I'm writing this. I'm teamed up with a decked out sl/sl lock 390 something res, 2 vengeful rest merciless. It's been a smooth sailing so far up to about 1700 rating, but we've started to encounter Rogue-Priest combos really much lately and are having some problems with it..

So usually we start with lock on priest ofc, i cc the rogue but with a dispeller I can only really rely on cyclone for cc of the rogue and well yeah, if he trinkets out of it the following 2 cyclones wont last long, after that lock is taking lots and lots of damage I need to pop out to heal, priest fears me and starts to manaburn and also spamdispell my hots. after that it all goes to shit pretty fast.

So I'm asking, what is the best way to beat that combo for us ? I've only been resto for about 3 weeks now. Been playing feral exclusively since tbc launched until i finnaly got bored of "Out of range" all over the screen

Ah, that sucks they're kind of your counter, but tips i can give you are:

Play with the pillars, have your warlock play near pillars, this is because you need to line of sight the burns, dont let that priest mana burn you you have to outlast them while having your walock keep distance.

Cyclone the rogue, drain the priest.
When DR is on cyclone with the rogue Cyclone the priest and fear the rogue for some free healing time, then Root the rogue when it's away from the lock due to fear and drain the priest some more.
Rinse, Repeat and get free gladiator with your combo =)

Oh, and abuse LoS to avoid mana burns and make sure the pet is on the priest and it doesnt die, or it's a lose

ye the problem I've been getting tho is that even if I LoS the priest he keeps chasin me around the pillars the moment i stop to cast cyclone he fears and manaburns alot, tryed feral chargin the rogue and get some range between me and priest before cycloning rogue but then i just get blinded and its gg mana >_>

Bear form, furor gives you enough rage to bash
Bash priest, Cyclone it, get range, win.
And just run away from the priest, you can keep your lock alive with just lifeblooms and rejuv if you keep abolish up on the lock.

What race are you? NE or Tauren?

Bash is pretty unreliable too but yeah works some of the times

Does the warlock have unstable affliction?, tell him to put that on the rogue while u CC him, if the priest then tries to dispell the rogue he takes damage. then just repeat it. Also tell the lock to pre-fight summon his voidwalker and when its 15 sec left, press sarcrifice and summon felhunter.

Felhunter should be on priest and he should be spamming the silence button while the priest got plenty of dots and fears.

If you're a UA lock in 2's you should delete you're char.
And if you're silencing the priest when it isn't casting then you fail ;z

Rogue goes prob. on your warlock? ->
always put abolish poison on your rogue.
Use trinket only against blind.
If you see the priest running towards you, run away or switch into bearform.
If the priest is in los of the warlock -> manadrain
Watch out that pet doesnt die!
Warlock should try as often as possible to get away from the rogue. When abolish poison dispells his cripplingpoison, he should give him coe and try to run away. After some time, rogue will be out of cds and you should easily win the manafight.

I ran this for a little while, found it uneventful.
The best way i would go about this is mana drain the priest when its in LoS, else dot spam both targets, if the priest is dispell happy make sure ur lock is throwing in rank1 dots, if they stay have him do max rank. as for you make sure u are using rank1 motw/thorns/lb to keep from dispelling ur abolish, keep an FF on the rogue rank1... if u root the rogue be sure to put insect swarm and Mf on it if u have it (rank1) coupled with the FF you have alot of fodder for dispell along with the lock dots, the only thing dispelling him will be CoS every 45s-1min whichever the CD is.
Your problems with priest are common they are going to consistently following you to get a fear+mb spam if the priest gets remotely close to u while u are attempting to pillar kite him do not i repeat DO NOT go into cheetah to try and get distance jump in bear and when the blind comes do not leave bear, trinket the blind and leave bear only when u are throwing a heal to put u in combat to avoid sap. its a mana fight keep the priest in combat or drink at the same time as him. just remember not to trinket the fear cuz the blind will follow if the team is ne good.

my tip: call 911 and tell them you have a 3rd degree mana burn. lol i play a disc/holy priest and mana is the greatest. Other than LoS, or pull the rogue out of range of heals you're kinda screwed.

As a sl/sl and resto druid you should have a really easy time with this combo, you can just outlast them.

The warlock should just dot up the targets, kite around a little, and drain mana of the priest when possible, also fear alot.

You should basically just stay like "on the other side" of the warlock and rogue fighitng eachother than the priest. Whenever the priest runs to you, do travel form and run away. If he doesn't get close to you, he can't fear, and thus he have to stop and heal cause your warlocks dots are doing heavy damage.

Just cyclone the rogue if your warlock starts getting low, (which he almost never should), or the priest if the rogue is getting low. It can also be an idea to cyclone the rogue if there's an inc heal, since cyclone makes him immune to heals.

Just outrange/LOS the mana burns, and you should be easily able to outlast them.

If you're struggling to dodge the burns theres a few things that can help such as Focus frames with cast bars set to the priest, or an addon called Don't Mana Burn Me Bro.
The latter being my favroute, but it hasn't worked since 2.4 but theres a fix floating around the UI board on [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
