Alright, I honestly just can't force myself to make a 49 twink. However my roommate has his mind set and really wants to make a 49 twink. He was thinking shammy, pally or war. He seems to like the idea of shammy.

He wanted to use the epic 2h axe, kang the decapitator or whatever, but I was telling him that DW would be better, theorycrafting anyhow.

Whats your guys thoughts on 2h or DW for shammy in 49 bracket? Pretty sure he is going enhancement...seeing as gear selection for elemental pre-58 is slim.

Suggestions? Thoughts? Maybe your guys selection of weapons for this bracket?

Seeing as I love bigger crits I would go 2h as well. :P

its really all about preferance, with 2H its burst dmg, with DW its more sustained Dmg

i'd say u should go DW for Pvp, 2H for raiding..

I'd say go for a 2h. The miss rate at that level would be close to 19% for an equal leveled foe with dual wield and heavy misses is bad. You'll be relying a lot on Windfury procs/crits.

The best axes/hammers for dual wield are Bonesnapper in the main hand with Windfury, and Flurry Axe in the OH with Frostbrand (if you want to go pure DPS, use a Smashing Star of <random enhancement> (stamina/bear or monkey) with Windfury as well (due to Windfury's hidden 3s cooldown)

If going 2hers, defintely go with Kang with Windfury on. Either or is a good choice, but you'll probably end up eating into enemies a bit more with Kang.
