Reputation: 16 Level up: 21%, 395 Points needed | | | | Hehe lots of questions, not much answers. I've been exploring these forums for quite time, and google is good friend of mine. However, I still have no idea what to do with baron.MPQ
What I understood, I need to use Model Edit Fix to allow using modified files, but how do I attach this baron.MPQ to my original gamefiles? How do I drop through the floor and mount under the Stratholme, and how do I climb up through the wall at Baron's room?
I have never done anything like this. Which softwares are totally needed for this sweet tweak? Thanks in advance for your patience and replies.

edit: Well I downloaded WoWMe for 3.0.9, copied baron.MPQ to my World of Warcraft/Data/ -folder and renamed it to patch-baron.MPQ and then ran WoWMe (for 3.0.9) which launches my WoW-client, I hit F8 before logging in (nothing happens btw?) and when I enter my realm, nothing has been changed.

Also, I don't think you should be seeing anything special happening when you press F8, as it just "turns off" so to say. |

Walk a little bit inside and it will take you under Strat, just follow the path and it will take you directly to Baron. |

For those who are still wondering how it works; I copied baron.MPQ to Data/ -folder and renamed baron.MPQ to patch-5.MPQ and then having Wowme.exe (for 3.0.9) in my Wow root directory. Run it, hit F8 before logging in, then log in, enter Stratholme dungeon and just on the first corner "swim" through the floor and drop down to the path, mount up, drive northwest and you should pop up at Slaughterhouse or the Baron's room.

The edit is working as of patch 3.0.8.
You can download it here.
The zip folder is password protected. The password is “fr0hzn.com”
It contains 2 patches.
* patch-p.MPQ contains the stratholme edit
* patch-d.MPQ removes all doors from the game (not my work actually)
You will need the second patch to get out of the slaughterhouse after you’ve killed the baron.
I recommend you to enable both patches just when you’re farming the baron. There are some bugs in cities where you get stuck in air. So just disable them during normal play.
