basic cool looking model swaps - 01-04-2007

1.)eye glow colors , u only have to rename and patch up 1 file(u can change any eye glow color to:blue , silver, gold , red , green and i think purple)

2.)skin changes, changing skins to diffrent colors , like druid NE cat form so its red or something if u can find a nice skin that will fit it without looking glitchy

3.)eh i dont rlly know, these are just basic...so basic u just change bmp files
like the eye color bmp's and the skin bmp's and stuff...hmm ill right a guide just in case

GUIDE:OK HERES GUIDE!

have my warcraft studio open

find the BMP file u want to change , find the bmp file u want to turn it into

so if i want Be eye color for my NE i just find the names of the folder of NE eyes so its like CHARACTER/NIGHTELF/MALE/eyeglowblah.bmp (thats not the real file name)

copy those names then make a CHARACTER folder on ur desktop put a NIGHTELF folder inside then inside that folder a MALE folder then extract the bloodelf (BLOODELF) eye color there then rename it to the name of the NE eye color

ok this **** works the same with skins...cept...its skins not eye colors

OK after u rename and do all that sutff to go Pack in the studio program (yes im being lazy when i type this[srry])

then u go to edit or create mpq archive then (if one isnt made make one in ur data folder of wow named patch-3.mpq) or edit patch-3.mpq , then u go to add file to archive go find ur renamed eye color then once it shows the box with only the eye color name

click the arrow on the side select the long folder names then make it so it just looks like this

CHARACTER/NIGHTELF/Male/(filename).bmp
ok then save and close run wow then it should be all set

(this is bmp's only but it works with any other kind of model editing, if u want to see my really good guide and not this fast one then go find it....i posted it like a week ago)

No. It really is ".BLP".

The Age of Exploration is over. Now is the Age of Creation.

THE IRONY IS OVERWHELMING.

.bmp = the default paint picture file type.
.blp = texture files for WoW.
