Hey all, i've been on MMOwned for a while, but I have yet to see any sort of thread that's purpose is to help come up with new ideas and elaborate on old or ones that haven't been thought through. Too often we see people posting the same old thing trying to contribute or farm rep. The new layout in this section helps a lot, but there's still at least 5 different GM Island paths, lots of GM Island edits, ect. Thats why I think this would be a great idea. I know from experience that it can be hard to think of things, or see something great and just want to redo it or make something akin to it.

Now, for certain things, it can't be helped. Race swaps for instance. Theres only a set number of races that you can swap, but there still posted. Most likely do to the fact that everyone wants to be congratulated for doing something, which is great, but can have other effects.

This thread I am focusing more towards Area Changes, World Building, and Model or Texture Creation but if anyone can think of any other uses, feel free to post them.

Finally, this is meant to help people, and I believe that by coming up with new concepts, we can create a richer enviroment for model editors and creators alike, please do not flame as it is horribly negative and directly against the forum rules. Try to be as constructive as possible. Like they say, if you have nothing nice to say, don't say it at all.

I think many people are just confused, like me imo. What's the point of a collaboration, I mean, you don't join up a project and make a reskin or make a custom model, area changes maybe because that's a huge project but still. There's a question and request section, and this basically is...almost the same?

I think the point is for people to spread their ideas for out of the ordinary edits. So that newer styles will come out

Thats exactly what I was thinking, and thank you for the support. In regards to your signature/current project, if your planning on matching it with teldrassil, i'd do my best to make the textures the same, and use the same type of building, unless your going for something different. Also, waterfalls may look quite nice. =)

thanks I need to update my signature, because despite it currently saying, that I've stopped, I fixed the problem and I'm working on detailing now
Also, alot like another one of my edits it's located high up in the air, and I used a version of texturing that reminded me of teldrassil, but with slightly more contrast for the parts in the air, and for a small dock-like section on the ground I used a pink-ish coloring, which reminded me of a mixture between teldrassil and the exodar-ish coloring, because the bridge up has alot of draenei crystals and such on it.
