Problem w/ 3DStoM2 Converter - 02-16-2008

Yes, hello everybody. I've been working on model editing and wanted to create a custom model. I finished screwing around with my model and saved it as a 3D file. I followed Glitchy's guide to the 3DStoM2 converter, but I keep getting the error:

"C:\Documents and Settings\Somebody>cd \

C:\>cd me

C:\ME>3DSToM2 model.3ds model.m2 30
3ds To M2 Converter v1.2 (August 8th, 2006)
(Original Version July 23rd, 2006)
by John "Cryect" Rittenhouse

ERROR: Unable to load 3ds file model.3ds"

I have the files in the ME folder on my c-drive, yet it still says it can't load. Could anybody shed some insight?

You say you saved it as a .3ds file?
Hmm.
Try putting 3dstom2 (with it's other stuff if it has any, dont remember) and everything in C:\ (makes it easier.)
then your line should be
C:\3dstom2.exe C:\custommodel.3ds c:\custommodel.m2

(well, dont remember if its that order but u get what I mean. simplifies it alot.)

Hmm, that didn't really change anything, and the .3ds file is unable to load.

The problem isn't in 3dstom2, it's in the 3DS.

merfed.onRelease = merfed.onReleaseOutside = function () { trace("omfglolwtf!?!"); }

you are putting the actual filename of your 3ds instead of model.3ds right?

Sure, upload it and I'll be glad to do it.

Okay, okay, I got it. I was able to convert my 3ds to a .m2, but when I put it in a .MPQ, it would crash model viewer and just a black screen in WoW. What am I doing wrong?
