Removing the bottom half of TABARDs :-) - 12-31-2006

Hey there one and all and let me start by saying happy new year

now, i was wondering if someone could maybe think of a way of editing tabards so that they appear only on the top half of your body. Forexample, people wearing robes (mage, priest, locks etc) when they wear tabards, they show only onthe top half of their body and it looks good. however, on my rogue and warrior, its like a dress hanging down like a mangy ball sack.

anyway, was wondering if someone could maybe tell me how to get rid of the bottom half so they all appear like clothies

you could just figure out what ur tabard is, then just swap it with something invisible, like invisible man

This can probably be done with DBCutil (Can be found in the 'model editing programs' stickied thread) considering that when you put on a robe, the bottom half disappears. I don't personally know how to use DBCutil though (Can't get the damn thing to work).

Some good ideas, however my editing skills arn't great and i wouldn't know how to edit DBC or make parts transparent.

If someone has 5 mins spare, if you could whip this up for me, i'd really appreciate it

tis the season...

The issue is there is thousands of combinations for tabards, so we cant just tell what you have.

Well, I use the Scarlet Tabard and WSG (purple) tabard most. So those two would be imba.

If you know a way of doing it, I dont mind sittind down for hours trying to rigure out my guild tabard, if you share your secrets how you do it ofc

Ok this is easy then. What u need to do is find ur tabard. There is an upper part, and a lower part. What you do is find the lower part. Once you have found the bottom, switch it wit another .blp, but with something that doesnt really show up, so that the bottom of your tabard is that.

the theory sounds simple. I have a problem with execution. Any chance you could maybe do just the WSG one for me to see how you've done it? I can then try to figure the other ones out myself.
