[Question] CreatureModelData->CreatureDisplayInfo - 10-06-2007

Hello!
I was wondering, agian , how you can connect between the model data and the display info data? because it happends to me alot that I find the model data and the display info is no where to be found

Which number/column in the model data points out the location of the creature display info?

CreatureDisplayInfo.dbc
  1. ID
  2. iRefID_CreatureModelData ................. Points to the model filename.
  3. iRefID_CreatureModelData_2 ............. Alternative Model. sometimes the same, sometimes a related one.
  4. iRefID_CreatureDisplayInfoExtra
  5. [...]

There is no link back.

I think I like you but 2 secs after I posted I figured:
if
2. iRefID_CreatureModelData ................. Points to the model filename.
then the first Column in CreatureModelData points out to the 2nd Column in CreatureDisplayInfo

I managed to get mah band working, I just need to look if I can control their animations somehow because right now all they do is do the "passive" play, and I can't make them do them spaciel moves ^^

Hmm .. That is a bit funnyier :P

Lets get Cryects M2Modder. With that one, you are able to change those animations to the emote-animations.
For doing this, you may read [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

I suggest mapping the animations to things like EmoteDance. So you just have to /dance with that character and he will sing / whatever.

meh, this forums...load...so...slow!
on topic now: thanks alot, trying it now ;-) will post if I managed to do that, and maybe even the complete video if I will ever actualy make it ^^

so.... how do I actualy operate this command tools? O.o
I, obviously, tried to double click it ;-) but it "Did not find Cygwin1.dll"

ok it works now, 1 more question tho: it gives me only an existing animation to swap with an existing animation, how can I set which command will triger it? things like /wave /laugh

They are called EmoteWave, EmoteDance etc. just look the IDs up in AnimationData.dbc.

meh, so how do I set say "AnimID 215" to be trigered by EmoteWave? I tried a EmoteWave, but all it gives me is a reapeting spam of the same
1.AnimID: XX
2. AnimID:YY
.....
a to change, q to exit etcetc

edit: I might have got it, gimme a few secs

Hehe, you have to search for the Anim-ID of EmoteWave in AnimationData.dbc. There's the full list of animations.

me no like zis! zis be not working!
I tried everything! I swapped the emotes from the model, I swapped the emotes in the dbc, I swapped them both but NOTHING HAPPENDS!
