Host movies at filefront or mediafire or youtube. Host images at like imageshack or photobucket. Also I'm not sure about Microsoft Digital Image Edition 2006. It's really easy to do in photoshop though. All you have to do is outline the area, add a new layer, and change the tint (with a sliding bar) until you are happy. The only difficult part is finding all the .m2s attached to the item. Just extract the item and use .m2modder (look for crytecs tools in programs and guides section). Hit t in .m2modder and it will show you all of the .blps attached to the item.
it seems the sites dont wana upload my stuff cause each file is near 500MB (30 sec video)
dont spose can email it directly to ya eh?
also, i cant get mefs to work so i dont touch m2 files
ive done critter recolours and it worked w/o moding m2's so i figured it should work w/ items too
since its only colour change...maybe im wrong, and thats what my problem is?
No, I'm not going to give my email address out. You don't need to actually use the .m2s. You just use the .m2s to find out which .blps are attached to it. It sounds like you are missing some .blps when you edit the color. Most armor has multiple texture files.
arm Item\TextureComponents\ArmUpperTexture\Robe_RaidPriest_D_01PVP_Sleeve_AU_U.blp
hand Item\TextureComponents\HandTexture\Robe_RaidPriest_D_01PVP_Glove_HA_U.blp
i dont see anymore for the set (male) (cept pants, boots but cant see under robe anyways)
unless theres parts strewn throught the entire data folder (not just in common.mpq)
if the png files can fit onto the mediafire upload could you take a crack at getting em to work?
only 60 some KBs
would contain all but head and shoulders, cause "glow" makes it suck to change on my program
