I've always been dissapointed that Blizzard hasn't implemented a purchasable bat flier. I've always liked them, you know, the undead ones! The Hypogriff was added in 2.3 for CE rep, and I've always wanted to see an armoured bat for lower city rep, or something similar.

Whatever the case, I doubt it'll happen anytime soon, MAYBE in WOTLK.

I'd love to start on this project, but I wouldn't even know where to begin! I'll start surfing guides and checking out the forums a bit more, to learn the basics. But really, I have zero model editing experience. I'm sure more people than just me would appreciate a bat flier, and any help on the project, or any good places to start would be greatly appreciated.

Searched around for quite a while, and I haven't seen anything about this kind of project in particular on these forums, or anywhere else for that matter. I mean, of course there are people editing fliers, but no bats that I know of.

I'm pretty determined to try this, at least. I can't imagine it being insanely difficult. The model is already in the game, already has animations for flying, and has a mount point on it to begin with! How difficult can it be? Actually, I'd like an idea of that from any experienced modeler. Anyone who's done something similar, contribute ideas and such!
