alright, I took my my lesser healing spell and made it look like a flash of light spell ( i like the holy looking affect) and it all works and everything HOWEVER the animation at the end of the spell doesnt go off

how come ?

and

can i fix this?

Could you post a picture or something. There might be a mismatch due to the spell cast time difference or another model for the finish.

and instead of doing that, it just stays at this animation and stops when the heal is over

You didn't show the end of the cast in picture 2. Does it finish as flash of light and you want it to finish as Healing Wave, because that might be tricky?

Oh I get it. You could manually change that animation if you found it in the Model Viewer. I'm might use 2 animations. I'm just not sure. All the spell edits I've used only use one, but Blizzard may have put it at 2 because its the same animation as some of the other finishes. I would take a look for it in the model viewer.

i do know off the top of my head

that everyone does seem to have a different spell animation for heals

....you know now that i think of it, cows were nvr made to have a holy light or flash of light animation cause they cant be pallies or priests

that might be why no?

Ya, I haven't played around with spell edits that much. I was working on my Stealth Bomber. I can try it out later this week if you still need help. Maybe somebody like The_Lex can come too and help you.

could be that I have to do animation swap which I dont know how to do either lol




I wish there was a guide that had explained all the basics of all the top programs to use. so us new guys can learn the fundamentals of things..im so lost in almost ever program......i try to learn something in one guide and there ends up being something else i need to learn in order to do the thing i want lol

well b4 i was trying to use MWCS and wow model viewer , but i couldn't see a way it could be done in there


then i tried Glitchy's model suite however, but doesn't that only swaps spells that ur character uses like for ex. it would switch MY lighting bolt animation to MY healing wave not to a different characters animation

or am i completely wrong lol

No, you can do to other characters animations. I did shadow bolt -> frost bolt on my warlock. Try it that way and tell me if it works. You can find the spell ids on thottbot or Alakazham. Its pretty straight forward. Let me know if you need any more help.

Oh ok, ya then I'll go back to what I originally said. Hopefully someone else can help you, but I can help you later this week. I just have to get some work done tonight.
