Ruzai, here you go.

File Removed See patch MPQ below.

I'm only going to host it for a short while. Personally, I'd use Ladik's MPQ editor to open the MPQ and replace the file. I'd use compression but not encryption.

You'll have to put it in your patch-enUS-2.MPQ under the folder DBFilesClient - probably overwrite it. You know how to do that?
wat.

No, I don't know how. :<

This is the normal DBC correct? I wonder if creating another patch, ie patch-3, and sticking that in the patch would work. I'll go test! Otherwise, Im not really sure how to go about replacing the normal file.

I'll explain it as simply as I can. Get Ladik's MPQ Editor [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Extract it and run the program. Go to open, browse to your WoW/Data/enUS folder and open patch-enUS-2.MPQ. Navigate into the DBFilesClient folder. Then simply drag the dbc file I provided above into the window. Tell it to overwrite and, to be save, tell it to use compression (but not encryption).

Now it should be placed properly -- close the editor and try running WoW.

---

Not sure. I'll try it myself, though I'm skeptical.

Well, I've tested out just putting the normal file into a new patch. The game started just fine, so I assume it works. That's an alternate option. Rather than risking messing around with the normal files, you can place the DBC into its own patch MPQ (under the folder DBFilesClient) and just put it into the Data directory.

If you don't know how to do that, I suppose I can provide a pre-made patch file.

Is it listing the same file in the error? Furthermore, you are using the enUS version, correct?

Well, I'm a little stumped. I guess I see two (maybe three) options. A) you get a clean set of files (from a reinstall or a full copy) B) You wait for a new WoWME or MEF and hope that it works. C) Do a final pass and perhaps find a stray MPQ file.

I mean, the only other explanation is that the main exe didn't update properly and it's looking for an OLD version of the file. The one I provided comes straight from a working, updated version.

I guess I'd try that then. Put the file in a Patch MPQ (ex patch-X.MPQ) (and don't forget the DBFilesClient folder) and put that into your Data folder.

In fact, here. I'll provide a pre-made patch file. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
