Hello guys, I am new to these forums, I have a question.
I was looking through the model editing sections and couldn't find not ONE spell editing guides.
I was planning on doing something like Lex (Not sure if thats the right name) did on the Fire Hunter, but I wanted to swap the arrows/arcane shots/steady shots/aimed shots into something I am still to decide; frost bolts or lightning bolts.

Just download Glitchy's MES. It makes model editing easy. It has a section for spell swapping.

Oh thanks. I just downloaded it, and used the Load DBC and used the Save As thing.
I have one question though. After loading the DBC, and saving the .mpq, I want to know which spell ID should I swap. Because on Thottbot, there are many Lightning Bolts (ranks), the real spell, and after each Lightning Bolt theres just something like Lightning Bolt without any rank. I don't really know how to explain. Heres an example:
Lightning Bolts I found on Thottbot:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Which one should I pick? And why?
Aimed Shots I found on Thottbot:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
What is so hard about understanding I don't know how to do model editing?

Was that possible for you to understand now? Or all you got in your head are the words: LEECHER or LOW-POST-COUNT?
You could try to be polite instead of making a list about why no one is helping you. Also there are plenty of DBC guides, so many in fact that you aren't supposed to post any more. Use the search button.

However, if you do want to know the answer, you have to do it for each rank. You can put them all in the same file though. For example if you use rank 1 model id. Only Lightning Bolt: Rank 1 will be effected.

By the way, thats not really what my problem is. You see.. when you click those links, there are a like 6 pages of Rank spells and simply Lightning Bolt without any rank.
What I am trying to do is change the Aimed Shot arrow to a Lightning Bolt. So what I should do is..
Substitute Aimed Shot Rank 1-5 to a Lightning Bolt model, but THERE is my problem: I don't know which of those Lightning Bolts is a model, since there are many Lightning Bolts in that page.

Its all going to be the same animation... it just changes how it looks.

Damn, for some reason it still didn't work. What did I do wrong? I swapped Aimed Shot Rank 7 to Lightning Bolt Rank 4 and placed the .mpq file in my WOW Data folder, loaded the game with that ModelEditFix.exe and casted Aimed Shot Rank 7. No difference, same old shot.
No guides on.
