So, this lets me play with 1.0 data on the 2.3 server? Or is this useful for the private servers that use 1.0.

yea, im also getting problems with this. I followed the guide exactly and it said i was missing fmod.dll

I went and downloaded fmod.dll and put it in my wow folder, nwo I am getting this error :

This application has encountered a critical error:
ERROR #0 (0x85100000)
Program: C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\WoW.exe
File: C:\build\buildWoW\WoW\Source\Client.cpp
Line: 1395
Expr: "!"Failed to open archive"", s_archiveNames[i] = "Data\model.MPQ"

Press OK to terminate the application

hopefully there arent any typos in that lol..... well anyway I guess im going to try and find model.MPQ >.> Ive also been trying to find a place to just download the old version of wow..... cant find it anywhere though, checked everywhere I know (im not just talking about the patches, I mean just downloading the whole wow folder from back in 1.12)

Okay, for those of you who need Model.mpq to make this work, here's the file:

NOTE: This isn't my file, so I haven't virus scanned it.

Says i need fmod.dll, which isn't even in my original WoW folder, when i click on the WoW 1.0 button. Then i try clicking the 1.12 patch and it says it can't read interface.MPQ.

HALP.

Thats if you install TBC. If you have the disks for WoW that would work, or if you downloaded WoW around the time of patch 1.0.0 to patch 1.12.0 you can just reinstall wow that way. Thats what I did.
