do i just fill in

the corrected version of
Character\Race\Gender\RaceGenderSkin00_00_Extra.blp

I know this isn't for "noobs" but I guess I'm a noob, and I guess I still want to do this. My NE Male is being turned into a tauren. I have white hair, and in front of that a green head. My boots appear, and the bottom is white. ANYWAY, I'm curious as to how I can (after doing the DBC edit) put it into a MPQ file and 'back it up.' You will get my first rep (I think I can rep?)

first of all, thanks for writing this guide, it's exactly what I was looking for, since I'm changing my Gnome Female into a Tauren Male.

Unfortunately, I'm having some issues with following the steps and knowing where to replace the numbers, as well as filling in "Character\Race\..." since the pictures originally provided in this guide are no longer visible.

I'm not asking for someone to do the job for me, simply asking for some guidance on the following steps:

-Where exactly to replace Race and Gender numbers
-Where exactly to fill in "Character\Race..."

shall i replace every field7 ? it doesn't work, i replaced field7 in ~30 lines(the lines where in field1 (human) and field3 (female) stands the 1) but it still doesn't work

Ehm, how am I to edit in "Character\Troll\Male\TrollMaleSkin_00_Extra.blp" (my race) into a dbc, when the dbc only allows integers? Kk?

I'm having issues with the final steps, is it possible to have a download link to the .mpq file if you modified it, then all we would have to do is swap them. Or some pics showing a few steps. Thanks!

I think we are all stuck on the damned white hair pb, even with the knowledege of DBC i'm lost :'(

I had the same problem with the hair staying white or changing to green, but got it to work.

When you find the number of your race and gender, don't forget to scroll down more in DBC Editor. You'll find more of your correspondant numbers with an empty Field7 that needs to be filled.

I did a DrM > TrM. Filled all fields with Character\Draenei\Male\DraeneiMaleSkin00_09_Extra.blp. Worked.
