[Winterdead]

Today i triyed my first model edit
Blood Elf Female -> Undead Male
I did everything after this guide and voila: it works =)

Then i tryed Blood Elf Female -> Troll Male
Works too.

Really, its easier as it looks like.

Alright, I followed this guide exactly (other than a few minor changes based on race choice, of course) to change an undead male > blood elf male, the only thing that has gone wrong is that when I log into WoW my character list does not come up, anyone know how to fix this? Also, I would like to know if there is any way to customize what the finished product comes out as, it would be unfortunate if my work ended up scrapped because I got the wrong hairstyle for my new model...


Edit: Okay, I found the problem, this time when I logged in, instead of simply freezing, I was given a critical error screen saying something had gone wrong with the 'ScourgeMale.m2' file. The bad thing is, now I have absolutely no idea how to fix it.

i don't have a model.mpq folder in data why is that?

well when i click extract to, i can't find where it extracts it too and it won't let me change extraction point /help

Yeah, it extracts to some magical place beyond the stars appearantly. I can't find where it goes, and when i try to click the Draenei female m2 model file it crashes the studio.

EDIT: BUT, when i right click on the male thing i get an error and mwcs closes itself. :/

yeahhhh i'm havin the same problem, and without this i cant waste time instead of doing homeowrk, someone help please!!1!!!one1!!

It seems many of these race changes are no longer possible, as there is no texture.mpq and in common, textures for many of the races are nonexistant. I found the problem with my old race change to a blood elf, discovered it was because one of my alts is a warrior, and as we all hopefully know by now, blood elves cant be warriors. So, I decided to instead change my race to a human, and there are no human textures in the common.mpq. This is becoming an annoyance as I have tired of the undead casting stance, along with that, I recently noticed humans look good in mage gear... I doubt anyone will reply to this with a solution, but it never hurts to state the problem.

Lets say I change my Dwarf to an Undead, will this change all the other dwarfs to undeads! , it does doesnt it?

This means you extracted the wrong things or placed them in the imporoper place.

This means you do not have the latest version of MWCS, another way to fix it is to delete your m2craft.dll
