Anyone who knows where I can find the Display ID's of items?
I'm looking for the DIsplay ID of:
Robes of Ghostly Hatred

Great guide Bacon, might wanna try slipping in some tips on how to find the item as they are not always inside itemcache.wdb. Could point to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] or something.

Didn't catch any posts like the one I'm about to make, but...

What if you play on a private server, and you're wearing custom items, yet you want to change the appearance of them? Is there a difference method?

For example, my custom sword I have now looks like Cataclysm's Edge, yet I'd prefer it looked like Corrupted Ashbringer... I'm a bit lost, and any bit of help would be much appreciated.

Hello i dunno why but i cant find in "itemcache.wdb" Corrupted Asbringer or Thunderfury.
Can anyone help meh ? Any ideas?

itemcache.wdb: 2a6d

You'd enter the entry as 2a 6d

For those of you actually willing to learn:

1. Go to Allakhazam.com: World of Warcraft and find your item.
2. Go to the item page and click XML
3. Scroll down till you find Display ID
4. Copy the number into a Decimal to Hex convertor (google around).
5. The Decimal to Hex converter will spit out a 4-character value. Take the first 2 values and flip them, with the last two values.
6. And you have you hex code.

For example, I did the cruel barb:
The Cruel Barbs display ID is 7311. Putting this into a Decimal to Hex converter I get 1c8f. Flipping the first 2 values it becomes 8f1c.

The Hexidecimal conversion is the long way to do it but its the only way if you havent actually seen the item ingame so yeah, theres that way aswell
