hey.
i ****ed up bad.
i made the new itemdisplayinfo.dbc, proceeded and turnd it into patch-z.
as noob as i am i didnt know that i had to open wow with the MEF, so i opened wow.exe and saw nothing changed.. so i edited my patch-2.mpq, replacing the old itemdisplayinfo.dbc with the one i made, and then saved the mpq.
now if i open wow.exe it says file corrupted itemdisplayinfo.dbc
and if i open it with MEF all the merciless items are bugged : my mage's merciless chest is skin-colored, shoulders are green and same goes for helm

how do i fix it?

Here is the clean ItemDisplayInfo.DBC file which goes in Patch-enUS-2.MPQ
Just delete your screwed up one, and replace it with this.

ok I have one problem too;D When I save CSved it greates the whole new file called "ItemDisplayInfo.dbc.bak" so what I should do whit this. could you help me some whit CSved settings or something?

Well, when i start doing this, in the order you say in the videos, i get either no change or just the ? in the item names, and everyone is naked, just like another guy mentioned before. I've tried to read those posts where it says what they did. I watched your video over a couple of times, but still i get either no change or the ?.

I tried to do it with different items and such, still the same.

A couple of times when i do this, i can't open the WoW.exe file, only the MEF.
I get an error with "Corrupt File" in Patch-Z.Mpq.

I tried to do it with the same items again and again, still no changes. I reviewed all i did. Everything seems right.

I'm not sure what's wrong. Perhaps you could help.

im having a strange problem, I was watching your vid following it click by click lol then when I tried to change my AreaTable.dbc with DBCUtil it wouldnt open the program, it would just flash open and that would be it. I tried dragging it to the DBCUtil, opening it by itself, gave it Administrator privilages etc, nothing seemed to work. Any way i can fix this?
