Yes.

But remember, dreanei female are smaller then taurens in size, so you gonna be a normal sized tauren instead of a huge tauren.

Hm, I tried this out, and I ended up with green hair, like some others did aswell... could you maybe help me out a bit? I'm not totally sure I changed the right files in the DBC Editor when I opened CharSections in it.. could anyone maybe help me out here and post a screen shot of which files I should change and to what I should change it too to make it work.. I'm a NightElf Female.
I want my tauren to have blackhair, or well, everything should be black and look normal.. Would be really greatful if anyone could just take their time and post a screenshot over which files and what I need to change it too to make this happend !

Other than that I must say great guide, and it works perfect except the hair etc.

Why some of the hair skins turn out green is becouse they dont match with some skins.

There are 2 things you can do:

First: You need to have the right ...00_Extra.blp files added to the right .blp file.
Check out how normal taurens have -> http://img373.imageshack.us/img373/4...00extravn0.jpg
But remember this will only work if you use the skins that are listed for taurens to your race. In other words, if its not the right skin color and right Extra.blp filed added to it, you get green hair.

Second is that you can do like me. This is not 100% that it will work for everyone but it did for me. I used the ...00_00_Extra.blp to every skin, so all my HuTaurens vill have black hair.

Ok, I'll try that.. I'll update later and see if it worked.. Cause when I did this I just looked at your picture, how you added out the colors in your guide, when you said like "now it should look something like this [url]", and I copied that, but found out I missed 3 "lines" to fill in the last 3? Is that depending to what race I change or?

EDIT1: If I copy all the fields(maybe it's not shown in my SS I posted earlier..", It sais "1887 4 Character\Human\Male\HumanMaleSkin00_00.blp 0 0 0 Character\NightElf\Female\NightElfFemaleSkin00_00.blp Character\NightElf\Female\NightElfFemaleSkin00_00_Extra.blp ", and as you can see it sais human male in the second field, but why does that human part stand under NightElf? You've any idea? Is it ment to do that, Or am I changing the wrong files? :S
Cause when I followed the guide you made, I don't think I saw anything standing in the 2nd field, from your guide... what does the second field do?

EDIT2: Oh yeah, one more question... when I change the files to 00_00_Extra.blp, in DBC editor, when I have the file opened I extracted earlier(CharSections.dbc)..will the "Patch-x" which I made with this extracted file in MWCS selfupdate, or do I need to make a new Patch-x file in MWCS... can't really explain what I mean, but hope you understand it.. Hehe

Any DBC Editor expert out there who can help me out and tell me what files I need to change and to what I need to change them too to make this work? I would so much appreciate it, just any color works fine.. dosnt matter if I make a white or brown or black tauren, just don't want it to glow green and it dosnt even look like a tauren

I see what you mean, and im not sure why it say Character\Human...
Its not like that for the Human race o_O. But try to change it to Character\NightElf... so it knows were to search for the files.

Every time you change CharSections.dbc you need to redo the warcraft studio part.

Might be couse your skin doesnt match the ...00_Extra.blp file. Either add so it load more skins or try diffrent Extra.blp files..

I tried that.. but when I were about to log onto my NightElf, I got an wow error and the game exited, and when I tried to change it back, it now sais that the "CharSections.dbc" file is already used or something in that style, so I can't save it... Gonna try to restart computer or something, but atleast that didnt work :/


I suppose you have more experience than me of DBC Editor... If you got the time, I would be really greatful if you could try it out to change a NightElf Female to Tauren Male, if you sucess with this... could you let me know basicly what files I should edit, how the DBC Editor should be set up to make my NIght Elf Female to look like a normal tauren... cause I don't get a shit of this tbh, it's just getting more and more complicated.... and I just can't get rid of that green hair thing, which is quite annoying... tried everything you said which I can understand
